Answers

1. How long will it take for my website to be developed?
The timescale will vary per project, and will depend upon several factors; these being the size and complexity of your project, and the availability of prepared content that you are supplying us.

The average website usually takes no longer than 3-4 weeks, however it is not unheard of to have completed a project within several days. We will do our very best to meet any deadlines, and will always work efficiently to complete your website as soon as possible. A rough estimation will be supplied with any quotation – so if you haven’t already, feel free to request a quote.

2. How much will it cost?
Like the timeframe, this will vary depending upon the type and complexity of website you require. Our prices are very affordable, with web design prices start at just £150.00 (the average site costing between £350-£850). We recommend that you request a quote to get an accurate figure. Our e-commerce package is £945.00, all inclusive.

3. Are there any hidden costs?
Not at all! We are very upfront and clear about what the costs are.

4. I'd like BlueSky to develop my website – what is next?
If you haven’t already, please request a quote. We will then return you a final quote and a brief project outline, explaining the development process. The document will also contain a timeline estimation. Alternatively, you can always contact us.

5. What will I need to provide you if you develop my website?
Whilst we can provide a copy creation service, nobody knows your business or customers as well as you do, therefore we highly recommend you provide your own content. This is best submitted to us in the format of a Word document, although other formats can be accepted. We can also accept any imagery that you may wish to use on the website, providing that you own the rights or have permission to use it.

6. Will I need a domain name and web hosting?
If you haven’t already, yes. A ‘domain name’ is essentially the address that your website can be accessed; for example www.blueskywebstudios.co.uk is our domain. ‘Web hosting’ refers to the physical location where your website is held and accessed by visitors to your website. Both of these are essential – you can either source these yourself, or buy them through BlueSky.

7. What do I get for my money?
We believe firmly in delivering value for money web design. All of our very latest designs come with the following as standard:

  • Custom, professional web design
  • Ethical Coding
  • Search engine ready META optimised pages
  • Multi-browser compatibility
  • 7 day a week technical support
  • Access to our expert team with 10+ years of web design experience
  • Great prices
  • Regular updates during the development process
  • An electronic or physical (CD) saved backup version of your website

8. Do you require a deposit?
Yes; we generally ask for a deposit of 30% prior to development commencing.

9. Can you assist me with getting listed on Google?
Yes! We submit all of our completed websites to various search-engines, and design them specifically to be 'search engine friendly'.

10. Will a meeting be required?
In 99% of cases, a meeting is not required and all contact is generally done through the form of email or telephone conversations.

11. How much will updates cost?
We typically charge £10 per hour to update a clients site. However, we can also discuss a bespoke maintenance package with you, should you wish to make updates more often, therefore looking for something more cost-effective.
